Oranges are a great source of vitamins. The most important are vitamins A, B, C and E. Here we explain what these vitamins give us.

Benefits and orange vitamins

Vitamin A is an important health vision and skin nutrient. However, it can be toxic in excessive amounts, an overdose can damage the skin, bones weaken and induce fatigue and vomiting.

Vitamin B plays an important role in cellular metabolism. Among the B vitamins contained in oranges are the following:

– Vitamin B1, or thiamine, which helps the body process protein, fat and carbohydrates.

– Vitamin B2 or riboflavin, which converts carbohydrates to fuel active acid.

– Vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid, helps the body to get energy from fats, synthesizes cholesterol and helps activate the adrenal glands.

– Vitamin B6 and folic acid; Vitamin B3 or niacin that regulates colesterol

– Vitamin B9 or folate, helps the body produce red blood cells and vitamin B6, which regulates mood and mental processes, helping to form neurotransmitters, dopamine, hormones, melatonin and serotonin.

Vitamin C is a watersoluble substance which acts as an antioxidant and contributes to overall body health in various ways. To reduce platelet aggregation and stiffness of arteries, may protect against certain types of heart disease. It also strengthens blood vessels and muscles, helping the body to produce collagen and is a natural antihistamine. Vitamin C also contributes to healing, fights viruses, helps in the formation of bile from the liver and detoxifies the body.

Vitamin E helps the body process glucose antioxidant properties and may protect against some cancers and heart disease. Vitamin E may also protect against the toxins of pollution of air, premenstrual syndrome, cataracts, skin damage due to UV radiation, diabetes and certain neurological disorders. Because it increases the level of immune system activity, vitamin E is limited to those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and asthma benefits.

Vitamins sour orange

The normal types of sour orange are usually too sour to enjoy them at meals. The increased use of sour orange as food is in the form of jam.

You can use the sour orange juice as a flavoring for fish and meat during cooking. It can also be used as vinegar and wine making.

This gives us fruit proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, iron, phosphorus, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and ascorbic acid.

Bitter orange contains many chemicals that affect the nervous system. The concentration and the effect of these chemicals can change depending on the part of the plant and the method used for preparation. These chemicals can tighten blood vessels, aunmentar blood pressure and make the heart beat faster.
